January 30, 2020 Thursday The is designed for individuals who possess at least a bachelor’s degree and are interested in becoming a certified teacher in the state of Texas. Our quality program provides a rigorous, fast-paced, and effective preparation for the classroom. Candidates accepted into the program will complete an intensive pre-service training from January to July each year. When school begins in July or August, the candidate is eligible to enter the classroom as a fully-paid teacher. Throughout the first year, candidates receive extensive support and mentorship provided by a campus mentor and the Education Service Center staff. In lieu of a paid internship we offer a 14 week clinical teaching experience which allows candidates to earn a standard certificate. Candidates who successfully complete their training requirements, internship and teacher examinations will be recommended for a Standard Texas Teaching License.
